In 2012 the Servicio Nacional del Consumidor (SERNAC – National Consumer Service) asked Plagio to conceptualize and execute the first national competition for consumer stories. The event, dubbed “Consucuento: Detrás de Cada Compra Hay Una Historia” (“Consucuento: Behind Every Purchase is a Story), aims to stimulate the creativity of all people throughout the country and encourage them to tell a story about personal experiences related to the act of purchasing.

In December 2012, the 20 finalists were announced, their stories being made available in a book, illustrated by Alberto Montt, and also a free audio book download. Mariana Marini was the winning author of the first version of this event, with her story “Atención, Atención Que Viene El Público” (Attention, Attention, The People Are Coming).
