Carmen García Palma is a writer, sociologist from the Catholic University, and holds a master’s degree in Literary Creation from Pompeu Fabra University. She has published the poetry books La insistencia (Libros de la Elipse, 2004), Gotas sobre loza fría (Cuarto Propio, 2011), Máquina para hablar con los muertos (Ediciones Bastante, 2016 and El desenfreno ediciones, 2025), and El lugar donde nacimos por última vez (Pez Espiral, 2023). She has also published the novel Las Oscurecidas (Planeta Emecé, 2018) and the short story collection María y el fuego (Neón Ediciones, 2021), for which she received a Special Mention from the Jury of the Ministry of Culture’s Literary Awards. She has conducted workshops and taught the poetry course at the Diego Portales University. She received the Pablo Neruda Foundation’s Poetry Creation Scholarship, as well as the Ministry of Culture’s Literary Creation Scholarship for Writers on four occasions.
