Carmen García Palma is a writer and sociologist from the Catholic University of Chile. As founder and director of Fundación Plagio, she has developed multiple cultural and editorial projects. She has published the poetry books La insistencia (Libros de la Elipse, 2004), Gotas sobre loza fría (Cuarto Propio, 2011) and Máquina para hablar con los muertos (Ediciones Bastante, 2016); the novel Las Oscurecidas (Planeta, 2018) and the book of short stories María y el fuego (Neón Ediciones, 2021), which received the Special Mention of the Jury of the Literary Awards of the Ministry of Cultures. Her literary work has been awarded on several occasions with the literary creation grant from the Book and Reading Fund, in addition to the poetic creation grant from the Pablo Neruda Foundation.
